The Plymouth School is committed to serving children on a non-discriminatory basis, welcoming families of all races, colors, and religions.  We believe our children gain strength and understanding through our diversity and they are encouraged to share their individual heritages.

Admission Procedures & Interviews

Parents may email the school to set an appointment for a school tour.  School tours are given to individual families on Wednesday mornings.  We encourage parents to bring their child(ren) with them on the tour.  Parents will receive an application form at the end of the tour; thus, it is best to schedule a tour after your child has turned 1 year old.  They are welcome to complete the application and leave it with the school office, or take it home to complete and return at a later date.

An interview is held when the parents and child(ren) tour the school.  This is an opportunity to be certain that the parents feel comfortable with our philosophy and the child’s needs will be met by our program.  If a second visit is advisable, we make such arrangements.

A letter from a Plymouth Parent to the school founder, Penny Cox:

Dearest Penny,

There are no words to describe our appreciation to you. Thank you for the socialization and problem-solving skills our children will carry for life. Plymouth provides strong pre-math and pre-literacy instruction that is the foundation for our children’s educational journeys.

However, we are most grateful for sending our children home with sand in their shoes, scraped knees and glitter saturated art work. What makes Plymouth so special is that it is truly a sanctuary where children are free to be children. Plymouth provides the delicate balance of work and play unique to preschoolers.

Plymouth is truly a school like no other. This is only made possible thanks to your leadership and loyalty. We are forever grateful to you.
