Admission Policy
The Plymouth School is committed to serving children on a non-discriminatory basis, welcoming families of all races, colors, and religions. We believe our children gain strength and understanding through our diversity and they are encouraged to share their individual heritages.
Admission Procedures & Interviews
Parents may email the school to set an appointment for a school tour. School tours are given to individual families on Tuesday mornings. We encourage parents to bring their child(ren) on the tour. Interviews are conducted when the parents and child(ren) tour the school. This is a valuable opportunity for parents to share any concerns or questions they may have. We want to ensure that parents feel comfortable with our philosophy and that their child’s needs will benefit from our program. If a second visit is deemed necessary, we are more than happy to make such arrangements. Parents will receive an application form at the end of the tour. Scheduling a tour after your child has turned one year old is best. If there is a waitlist at the time of the tour, parents will be informed of that status.
A letter from a Plymouth Parent to the school founder, Penny Cox:
Dearest Penny,
There are no words to describe our appreciation to you. Thank you for the socialization and problem-solving skills our children will carry for life. Plymouth provides strong pre-math and pre-literacy instruction that is the foundation for our children’s educational journeys.
However, we are most grateful for sending our children home with sand in their shoes, scraped knees and glitter saturated art work. What makes Plymouth so special is that it is truly a sanctuary where children are free to be children. Plymouth provides the delicate balance of work and play unique to preschoolers.
Plymouth is truly a school like no other. This is only made possible thanks to your leadership and loyalty. We are forever grateful to you.
